TERMS & CONDITIONS

Participation on any KaravanADV event will adhere to the following policies:

1. A Deposit is required to secure your position. The amount of deposit is listed on the individual Tour Page. This Deposit is non refundable however circumstances may allow for the Deposit, all or in part, to be used on a future KaravanADV event. 
2. Unless otherwise stated, all Deposits and Payments are in US Dollars. 
3. Although Deposit is a requirement to secure your position on a tour, it in no way serves as a guarantee that the tour will go as scheduled. 
4. Should KaravanADV cancel any event, due to insufficient numbers, Deposits and any additional payments, are fully and promptly refunded. On any occasion where your cancellation results in the cancelation of a tour due to insufficient numbers, the entire deposit will be forfeited. 
5. Should an event be cancelled as a result of natural occurrences (weather, volcano eruptions, etc) or a political event that is judged to compromise security, it may be necessary to retain a portion of payments to cover unrecoverable prepayments to our suppliers and expenses born by KaravanADV, in which case you will be asked to file a claim under your Trip Cancelation and Interruption Insurance. We will fully cooperate in providing any documentation to you and your carrier to fulfill the claim settlement as quickly as possible. 
6. Final payments are due in full 90 days prior to the Tour Departure Date (TDD*) unless otherwise stated. 
7. Any event that requires ocean freighting of personal vehicles to a foreign country, the TDD is considered that date on which the vehicles are to be at the port. Therefore, full final payment is due 90 days before this adjusted TDD. 
8. In the event of a cancelation received in writing 90 days or more prior to the scheduled TDD, the Deposit is subject to full forfeiture. Any additional payments over and above the Deposit qualify for a refund however may be subject to penalties to compensate for loss as a result of non refundable payments to suppliers and other losses as a result of your cancellation. 
9. Any cancelation received during a period of 89 to 60 days prior to the TDD is subject to full forfeiture of the Deposit and 50% of any final payments. 
10.  Any cancelation received during a period 59 days or less prior to TDD is subject to full forfeiture of Deposit and all payment with considerations to apply a portion of the forfeiture towards use on a future event, limited to be used no later than 12 months from the date of cancellation. 
11. Any cancelation where the cancelling party can substitute his/her position on the tour, may transfer all payments to the substituting participant however a penalty of 10% of the total tour price will apply. 
12. All accommodations are priced and booked as “shared room”, double occupancy. Anyone, for any reason, in a single room, will be subject to the Single Room Occupancy Supplement listed on each Tour Page, without exception.
